The Clancys/Glancys of Dartry were part of the old Gaelic aristocracy whose history goes back more than a thousand years in West Breifne, which is partly located today in the counties of Sligo and Leitrim. This book records their history from 1114, when the Annals begin to record them for the first time, right down to the early decades of the twentieth century when a member of the clan was elected to the First Dáil (Parliament) in 1918.
